Dracula Poem by Terry

vampire_hiss_sm_nwm.gif

Flying down,

Swooping over innocence,

Picking, biting in,

And sucking away the life ofa poor soul-Dracula feeds

Only in the day can people feel safe,

For Dracula is burned by the light of day

“You must not go out in the night,”

Villagers say to their young

Even though the villagers know that their end is near anyway

They postpone, prolong, and expect death at any time

Hearing a blood curdling scream every night,

As Dracula kills.

He comes and laughs at their fear,

Nothing scares him,

Except the light of day.

Even if no one is in the street,

You’re not safe by the lanterns faint glow,

Dracula breaks the light in the lantern and

Gets you anyway

He will go away one day,

For a brave soul will defeat the evil

That is

Dracula
